Geology:
Underlain by argillite, shale, siltstone and tuf (Triassic Slocan Gp.)
Augite basalt of the Lower Jurassic Elise Fm of the Rossland Gp outcrops 1 km to north.
Biotite hornblende quartz monzonite of the Jurassic Ruby Range stock outcrops 2 km S of the area.

Work:
Documentation of the past work on the property is poor.
1935: ~ 4.5 tonnes ore was shipped to the mill at New Denver
1970 adit extended to about 21 metres, 640 tonnes of "material"stockpiled; VLF-EM survey completed. (George Cross News Letter number 148)
1983 54 m of airborne magnetic and VLF-EM surveying on west portion of the property by Western Geophysical Aero Data Ltd. (Assessment Report 11203).

Results:
Development on the Commodore is reported as 36 metres of drifts and crosscuts in the 'west' tunnel (within porphyritic granite) and a 6-metre tunnel eastward in barren slate. Average of 3 samples taken in the east tunnel area about 1 metre is 3.09 g/t Au , 603.43 g/tAg , 14.4 per cent Pb and 13.8 per cent Zn (Starr, 1929 (Property File).
Drillhole SH-24 intersected 4.4 m grading 147 g/t Ag , 2.67% Pb, 1.1% Zn and 0.27% Cu (Assessment Report 2966).
