Geology:
Porphyritic granite of Nelson intrusions
Mineralization:
quartz vein within a northeast-trending fault zone; vein dips steeply northwest; varies from few centimetres to 0.75 metre wide; consists mainly of white quartz cementing fragments of wallrock ;galena, sphalerite, tetrahedrite, pyrite, pyrargyrite and argentite present. Vein walls well defined and marked by a narrow gouge seam.
Work:
1909: 5 tonnes of ore were mined; no further work
1948: portal of the middle adit was reopened; no record of further development
Results:
Vein exposed in three adits 23 metres apart vertically. The middle adit rehabilitated for 55 metres in 1980; grab sample assayed 9052 g/t Ag, 28.9% Pb and 29.1% Zn (Property File - Ash, W.M., 1988).
