BAM Cu Au Ag CARBONATE-HOSTED VEINBRITISH COLUMBIA
Geology:
Upper Paleozoic Stikine assemblage volcanics and volcaniclastic rocks overlain by thick sequence Lower Permian limestone, dolomites and minor chert. Carbonate unit overlain by Upper Triassic feldspathic sandstones and volcaniclastic sandstones, limestone-bearing conglomerates, and siltstones, which in turn is overlain by Lower Jurassic polymictic pebble conglomerates, sandstones and argillites.
Small serpentinite bodies present. Early Mississippian quartz diorite to granite intrusion ( More Creek plutonic suite), underlies most of eastern portion of property.
Quaternary Arctic Lake olivine basalts drape present topography on eastern and northern part of property.
Mineralization:
Jan Prospect : carbonate hosted Cu-Sb-As-Zn-Ag ± Pb vein type deposit.Gold rare.
mineralization fault controlled; massive fracture-filling to disseminated tetrahedrite-tennantite with associated secondary malachite, azurite and minor sphalerite, galena, (chalcopyrite and bornite) in extensively fractured dolomitized, patchily silicified dolomitic limestones.
Bam 10 Prospect :  fault and shear-hosted Au±Cu±Ag quartz veins within and adjacent to intrusive rock; 2 km south of Jan prospect.
Gold mineralization in granite host occurs with fine to coarse grained pyrite within grey quartz veins; veins discontinuous , tend to pinch out and disperse into the highly fractured granitic host rock.
Work:
1950's & 1960's: large-scale geochemical exploration programs in the region. Schaft Creek porphyry copper deposit discovered. (Newmont Mining Corp and Silver Standard Mines)
1963-64: Jan copper prospect discovered, limited 3-hole drill program (Hudson Bay Exploration and Development Company Ltd)
1967: outlined unclassified resource on Jan 1-2 prospect (Shawinigan Mining and Smelting Company Ltd)
1972: geological mapping, silt and soil sampling in the area of Jan prospect (Phelps Dodge)
1985: gold mineralization at Bam 10 Prospect discovered. (Chevron Canada Resources)
1987: diamond drilling 9 holes (837 m) area of Bam 10 prospect (Radcliffe Resources)
1996: Au soil sampling discovered gold anomaly to 2,550 ppb Au, diamond drilling 6 holes (603 m) area of Bam 10 prospect (Everest Mines and Minerals Ltd)
2004-2005: analysed previously collected Au soil samples for base metals & other elements.(Bearclaw Capital Corp)
2010: in-fill grids, soil samping (Bearclaw Capital Corp)
Results:
Soil sampling on northern part of property defined an anomalous area of Au Sb Hg As ~ 1.8 km by 1.0 km.
